A beautiful replica of the original fisherman's cottages has just recently opened it's doors in the Claddagh. It's the first of it's kind since the old cottages were demolished in the 1930's, to make way for new social houses. The cottage has been built using the old building techniques mixed in with the more modern invention of under floor heating. Stone was brought in from an old house in Headford, in the east of County Galway.

The build was a massive undertaking for Cathriona and her father Mike Walsh, but all the effort was worth it to create this magnificent space. The centre is a true oasis of calm in the city centre and well worth the visit for both tourists and locals alike.
